Angela Alba is a visual artist born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts. What began as casual self-documentation with an iPhone evolved into a journey of healing and self-discovery. Angela believes that being the subject in front of a camera is not only personal but socially necessary. Fat liberation inspires her work. Her artwork is inspired by familiar elements of big bodies and explores the social stigma of being a fat person
