Jeyza Gary is a student, advocate, singer, speaker, and model. She was born with a skin condition called lamellar Ichthyosis and identifies with the disability community. This is only one facet of her identity, but she understands that, in an industry founded on lookism, her skin is the first thing people see. She is proud to be the first model with Ichthyosis and she has seen many successes in her budding career. As a student, Jeyza is a Health Systems Management major and has degrees in vocal performance and art. At school, she is on the student advisory board for campus advocacy as well as the board for identity, equity and inclusion. When Jeyza is not in class or modeling, she spends valuable quality time with friends and family. She journals, meditates, speaks on topics she is passionate about, and practices her singing.
